The Kitchen

The Kitchen is much older than the rest of the house and is presumed to be the original structure on this site in the 1700’s. A beehive fireplace captures the attention with its unusual shape and multiple fireboxes. As the house grew and merged with this older section, the hand dug, stone lined well was enclosed and is the earliest example of indoor plumbing in Carver. It is located in the pantry leading to the cellar way and has been preserved with the original wheel, counterweight, spillway and rope. The kitchen door leads to a spacious deck overlooking the back patio, gardens and lawn.
